MORE RAIN! Showers/Storms Through The Weekend

Showers and storms are headed this way again.  A very good chance continues through Saturday before tapering off to a lesser chance on Sunday.  In the meantime, we could receive another 2 to 4 inches of local rainfall, adding to swollen creeks and rivers!

Rivers are expected to continue to rise, including the Ohio, which could reach flood stage in Paducah and Cairo.  It is already above flood stage in Brookport.  Here are the latest river level forecasts.

Weekend Warm Up WIth A Chance Of Showers

The good news is we'll be warming up through the weekend.  The maybe not so good news is we have another chance of showers Friday-Friday night before ending Saturday.  We're not expecting huge amounts, but we're still keeping an eye on the river levels on the Lower Ohio and Mississippi, plus some farmers are falling behind on planting with the wet soil.  That being said, it IS good to be several inches above average on our rainfall at this time of year, instead of behind like we were last year, leading into the terrible drought of 2012.
