Your July 4th Week Forecast!

We'll start the week off on the wet and cool side as low pressure moves across the region, bringing a chance of showers and storms Monday through Tuesday, with highs in the upper 70s. Wednesday and Thursday, (July 4th), we'll see the chances of showers and storms drop to only a slight chance as temperatures rebound to the 80s, the low 80s by Wednesday and Mid to upper 80s for Thursday, the holiday.  Friday, more moisture moves into the region, increasing our chances for showers and storms, and the chance that if we do see some storms, they could drop some heavy rainfall.

Cooler Weekend Ahead!

We'll see cooler temperatures beginning Saturday and carrying through for the forseeable future as cooler, drier air works its way into the region!  Normal high temperatures this time of year are around 89, but we'll see those drop to around 80 or the low 80s through the weekend and into next week.  Along the way, we'll still have at least a passing shot at a shower or thunderstorm each day.  The 4th of July will be perhaps slightly cooler than average, with a chance of a shower early on.

Chance of Severe Storms Wednesday

In addition to the hot humid conditions Wednesday, we'll have added instability which could lead to a risk of Severe Storms.  The main threat will be high winds and large hail, so stay in touch with the changing weather conditions.  We'll also see another day with highs in the low 90s and Heat Index Readings in the low 100s, that's what it "feels like" with the combination of high heat and humidity.

After that, we'll still stay in the 90s for high temperatures through Friday, until cooler air begins working it's way in on Saturday. At that point, we'll see high temps drop back to the 80s.  Looking down the line at the Fourth of July, (Thursday) it appears for the time being, we'll see below average temps in the low 80s with a chance of showers and storms.

Hot Week Ahead!

VERY summer-like weather continues this week, with highs in the 90s and lows in the 70s. We might get a little bit of a break next weekend, after the passage of a cold front Friday which should usher in slightly cooler and drier and air.  Outside of that, each day brings high temperatures in the 90s, heat index readings near 100 and a slight chance of "pop-up" thunderstorms. We WILL have a better chance of thunderstorms though as the cold front nears, especially on Thursday.
