Severe Storms Possible Today!

A front moving in today/tonight brings a chance of Severe Storms.  The main threats are for damaging winds, possible tornadoes and locally heavy rainfall.

The threat of severe weather, and the widespread showers, have caused the cancellation and postponement of Halloween activities and tick or treating in several communities.  Click here for a list.

After the front's passage, we'll see temperatures falling slightly, and a reinforcing shot of colder air will drop temperatures close to seasonal for Saturday and Sunday.

Warmer Temps and Showers

Warm moist air will be moving into the area from the South for most of the week, bringing our temperatures up and giving us an on again off again chance for showers and storms through the first part of the week.  On Thursday, a cold front should move through, bringing our best chance for showers and storms.  That front will be followed by a reinforcing front which should cool our temperatures back down for the weekend.

In the meantime, we should see high temperatures in the 70s by mid week, prior to the cold front's passage.

Showers/Storms, then Colder Temps

Showers and thunderstorms will be the rule Tuesday into Tuesday night for the area as a cold front approaches. At this point, we're not expecting a decent chance of severe storms.  We will notice colder air moving in on the backside of the front though. We'll see out high temperatures drop back to the 60s for Wednesday.

As we get into the weekend, we'll have a reenforcing shot of colder air and temps will drop back into the 60s for highs and 40s for lows.
