Our Chances for a White Christmas???

There actually IS an outside shot at a White Christmas for us, but it's very small!  After rain Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, there's a chance we could see the rain mixed with snow before ending early Christmas morning.  Just a slim chance we could see enough for a White Christmas, BUT it's not out of the question, and there's still plenty of time for things to chance between now and then!

Your can hear my forecasts each weekday on Newstalk 94.7, 95.5, 570AM and 1320AM, along with The Mix 94.7 and Willie 102.1.  Remember, when the power's out, you can still hear our forecasts and live reports on these stations, too.

Possible Snow Wednesday Night Into Weekend!

We could be looking at snow beginning Wednesday night into Thursday morning, and then again Friday into Saturday. All this as low pressure develops south of our region and then moves closer.  Right now, it STILL appears to be possible accumulations of 2 inches OR LESS.  In fact, might now see that much at all IF ANY.  Temperatures will be right on the borderline!   STAY TUNED!

Possible Freezing Rain Tonight And Tomorrow Morning!

Watch out overnight, and through midday Monday for a chance of freezing rain, and freezing rain mixed with rain. While we're not expecting BIG amounts, we ARE anticipating a chance that we could see some problems with your morning comute, through midday, especially on bridges and overpasses! Allow extra time. Leave for work early. Take it slow. Do NOT use your cruise control!

Wet Weekend Warmup

So NICE that the frigid temperatures are gone and actually ABOVE AVERAGE temperatures are on the way for the weekend, but NOT without cost.  We'll have a chance for showers actually beginning in earnest Saturday evening, and ESPECIALLY on Sunday.  Could also see a thunderstorm but at this time, not expecting anything severe! All this as the southerly flow picks up ahead of an approaching low pressure system which should arrive just to our west on Sunday.

Now for the GOOD NEWS:  High temperatures Saturday should approach 60 and Sunday's highs could get into the low 60s!  If you're planning on anything outdoors....Saturday is definitely your day. Sunday....not so much....BUT at least it will be above average temperature wise.

Chances For Severe Storms Today and Tonight

We'll have a chance of Severe Storms today and tonight as a cold front approaches, then moves through the area!  The biggest threats will be large hail and damaging winds with come possible tornadoes.  A squall line is expected to form and move through the region this afternoon into tonight which could include some high winds (up to 75 mph) and possible embedded tornadoes (perhaps STRONG tornadoes).  Ahead of this, we could see some individual storms reach severe levels.  Along the way, we're still expecting additional rains!

HEAVY Rainfall Possible Next Few Days!

HEAVY RAINFALL is a big concern between now and the end of this rainy pattern.  That won't be until Tuesday.  EVERY DAY and NIGHT we'll have a good chance of showers and thunderstorms until then, with a chance of upwards of 6 inches of rainfall total during these next few days.  There will also be a chance for strong storms Monday (Columbus Day) and Monday night but still a ways off from then.  In the meantime, prepare for lot's of water!
