Weekend Snow?

Models have been trending cooler, giving us a better chance for some snow mixed with rain this Saturday night through Sunday.  At this time though, it appears the best chance for measurable snow will be north of the Ohio River, with about 2 inches or less possible. South of the Ohio, temperatures are still expected to be slightly ABOVE FREEZING, but we are close enough to the borderline that it could cause problems, and of course, snow falling, could lower temperatures to BELOW FREEZING.  Keep in mind...this could CHANGE, and if it does, we'll post an updated forecast.  In the meantime, just giving you a heads up to keep an eye on developing weather conditions this weekend!

Your can hear my forecasts each weekday on Newstalk 94.7, 95.5, 570AM and 1320AM, along with The Mix 94.7 and Willie 102.1.  Remember, when the power's out, you can still hear our forecasts and live reports on these stations, too.

DANGEROUS COLD Moving Into The Region

An Artic BLAST of COLD AIR is moving into the region Wednesday.  Our high temperature Wednesday will be reached during the pre dawn hours, and during the day the temperature will be dropping through the teens to the single digits. A stiff North wind will drive wind chills down to below zero.  Wednesday night expect temperatures in the single digits, dropping to overnight lows near ZERO! There's a slight possibility of some light snow or flurries but no real problems with snow are expected.   Temperatures won't recover much on Thursday, with high temperature readings reaching only the low 20s.

Don't forget to take proper precautions and avoid the outside if possible on Wednesday and Wednesday night.  Especially vulnerable are the elderly and very young, and of course, you'll want to make proper arrangements for outdoor pets (provide them with a source to stay warm or bring them inside).
