Mid-South Meteorology: Chance of Severe Storms Monday-Tuesday

We'll have a chance of severe storms Monday, through Tuesday night as storms develop near an approaching cold front. The biggest threats should be large hail and damaging winds! after the front gets through the area Wednesday, things should calm down for a few days, with only a slight chance of showers and storms Saturday and Sunday.

Here's the risk of severe storms Monday and Monday night. The biggest threat will be north of the Ohio River, and includes mostly the threat of large hail and damaging winds.

Tuesday and Tuesday night, the threat of severe storms will include all of the area, and once again, the biggest threat chance is for large hail and high winds.

Forecast rainfall for the week, ranging from a half inch to an inch and a half. Of course, these are averages. Some areas could get more with heavy downpours and some areas, less. Most of the rain will come Monday through Tuesday night.
