Severe Weather Potential Into the Weekend.

Looks like we'll more or less be stuck in this pattern of on again, off again, showers and storms through the weekend, with a shot at more severe storms, and heavy downpours still in play.  A front is stalled to our south but should begin lifting northward, and when combined with a series of disturbances moving through, the mechanisms are in place for this unsettled pattern to continue.

Besides the chance of severe weather, there is also the chance for more locally heavy rainfall on already saturated ground.  Many localities in the area have received upwards of 4 inches of rain over the past few days, and lot's of it with torrential downpours, causing flash flooding problems.  These types of heavy downpours will remain a possibility through the weekend!

Friday: The areas of most concern for severe weather shift southward as the front continues to sag that way with disturbances passing through. Main threats again are hail, high winds, few tornadoes and locally heavy rainfall.

Saturday: Front lifts to the north as a warm front, low pressure develops along cold front to our west and then moves closer, along with cold front. Main threats are hail and winds, along with locally heavy rainfall.
