So How's THIS Winter Comparing To The Past, Snow Wise?

Had the question this morning about how much snowier has this winter been, compared to the past in the area.  Well, it's already above the average amount of snowfall we receive during winter!

So far this 2013-2014 winter, Paducah has received 12.9 inches of snow.  On average, Paducah receives 10.2 inches of snow each winter.

We still have a long ways to go to catch up to our snowiest winter!  In 1977-1978 winter, we got 35.7 inches of snow.

Here's some other great local snow facts from the National Weather Service in Paducah.
